Damien Moran

Managing Director

With over 34 years of experience spanning mechanical services, building efficiency, sustainability, and energy management, Damien has led EnergyTec since its acquisition in 2015. He has transformed the company from its core focus on utility billing and metering services into a leader in energy technology, implementing projects in renewable energy and automated metering. His previous experience includes co-founding HFM Asset Management, a market-leading building efficiency consultancy, and serving on the boards of various organisations. Damien’s expertise in energy procurement, renewable energy, and utility systems has helped shape EnergyTec’s success in deploying over 8 Megawatts of solar and metering infrastructure across commercial properties in WA and the Eastern States.

Damien is also actively involved in the broader industry, serving as a Board Member and Secretary for the Strata Community Association (SCA), where he heads the Sustainability Taskforce. Additionally, he was a judge for the Property Council of Australia (PCA) 2024 and 2025 Awards. With a passion for simplifying complex processes and empowering clients to make informed decisions, Damien continues to drive EnergyTec’s growth and innovation in the energy sector.

Mark Wilson

Head of Corporate Services

Mark brings a wealth of experience across diverse industries, including food manufacturing, construction, and mining, to his role as Head of Corporate Services at EnergyTec. With a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Marketing from UWA and membership in both ASCPA and AICD, Mark is highly skilled in business analysis, management reporting, organizational system development, and corporate strategy.

Since joining EnergyTec in 2023, Mark has overseen finance, HR functions, and marketing collaboration, driving strategic initiatives to support the company’s growth. With a keen interest in the evolving landscape of renewables and emission reporting, Mark is passionate about the innovative technical solutions being developed to meet the industry’s demands.

His expertise and forward-thinking approach are key assets in helping EnergyTec navigate the exciting challenges of a rapidly changing energy sector.

Wayne Muncaster

Head of Operations

As Head of Operations at EnergyTec, Wayne is responsible for leading and supporting key teams across Field Services, Client Services, Systems (ICT), and Technical Services. He is instrumental in advancing EnergyTec’s web-based service model and driving platform enhancements, ensuring the company continues to evolve and deliver exceptional value to its customers.

With over 20 years of leadership experience across the UK and the US, Wayne has a proven track record in operations and business development. He has managed remote teams, scaled divisions, and driven multimillion-dollar P&Ls in energy, technology, and start-up environments. His expertise is complemented by a passion for fostering a sustainable, participative energy future powered by technology and integration.

Champ Phetiam

Head of Technology Transformation and Business Integration

Champ Phetiam brings over 15 years of experience in technology leadership, digital transformation, and large-scale technical delivery—most recently serving as Head of Technology Transformation and Digitisation at Telstra. With a background spanning engineering, strategy, and operational leadership, Champ plays a key role in strengthening EnergyTec’s technical delivery and aligning our business integration capabilities with long-term strategic goals.

Champ holds a Bachelor of Computer Engineering and an MBA in Technology Management, Digital Strategy, AI and Data Analytics from the University of New South Wales.

Claire Chevalier

Client Relationship Manager

As one of EnergyTec’s longest-serving and most dedicated employees, Claire has been an integral part of the company for 15 years. With 36 years of experience in the energy sector, Claire is highly regarded for her deep industry knowledge, unwavering commitment, and exceptional client service. Claire plays a pivotal role as Client Relationship Manager, fostering long-term business relationships.

Claire’s expertise lies in client relations, consulting, and advisory, with a focus on maximising opportunities for her portfolio of clients. She thrives in an industry defined by constant evolution, from renewable energy innovations to advanced grid and battery technologies. Claire is passionate about tackling the complex challenges of transitioning to sustainable energy, embracing opportunities for collaboration and innovation to drive impactful solutions.

Scott Craven

Quality and Risk Manager

Scott brings a strong foundation in risk and quality management to his role at EnergyTec. With a background in Aviation, where risk management and quality control are critical, Scott transitioned into the energy sector in August 2022. He is responsible for overseeing the Field Services Operations (FSO) department and ensuring that all projects and processes align with the company’s high standards.

With a process-driven mindset, Scott excels in defining and analysing problems, then collaborating with a diverse range of people to deliver solutions. His expertise in managing data models and working with teams across the business allows him to ensure that EnergyTec’s operations are both efficient and compliant with evolving industry regulations. Scott is particularly drawn to the variety within the energy sector, especially in managing risks and overcoming the challenges of a rapidly changing environment.

Alex Hahn

IT Manager

With over two decades of experience in the IT industry, Alex is a accomplished professional specialising in systems integration, software and database development, communications, and cyber security. Holding an undergraduate degree in Computer Systems Engineering and a postgraduate degree in Information Technology Management, Alex combines technical expertise with strategic IT management skills.

Alex began his technology career in the late 1990s, founding an Internet Service Provider and IT consultancy business. Since 2001, he has worked full-time in IT roles across various sectors, including corporate, financial services, education, and energy services. He joined EnergyTec in early 2022 and has been instrumental in managing IT systems, ensuring seamless supply chain integration, and enhancing cyber security measures.

Passionate about the energy sector’s focus on renewables and distributed energy resources, Alex is committed to driving efficiencies for clients while leveraging cutting-edge technology to support a sustainable future.

Rob Rye

Technical Operations Manager

With over three decades of experience in the energy sector, Rob Rye is a results-driven professional specialising in optimising energy use and delivering sustainable solutions for commercial properties. As Operations Manager at EnergyTec for the past five years, Rob has been instrumental in driving operational excellence and innovation across a range of energy efficiency projects.

A qualified Project Manager, Engineering Tradesperson (Mechanical), and NABERS Assessor, Rob brings a wealth of expertise to his role. His focus areas include energy procurement, feasibility studies for EV charging stations and solar installations, embedded network conversions, and metering upgrades. Rob excels in project management, team leadership, tariff optimization, and ensuring compliance with electricity market standards.

David Gillett-Payne

Client Services Manager

David joined EnergyTec in September 2022, bringing a strong background in people management and leadership, developed during his tenure as a team leader in government roles since 2017. At EnergyTec, David focuses on fostering group success, finding fulfillment in guiding and supporting his team to achieve their goals and deliver exceptional outcomes.

Shelby Willburn

Field Services Coordinator

With a Bachelor of Business Administration completed in 2019, Shelby brings strong organisational and leadership skills to her role as Field Services Coordinator at EnergyTec. Since joining the team in May 2024, Shelby has been instrumental in managing, coordinating, and overseeing an efficient field services team to ensure seamless operations in the utility sector.

Although new to the industry, Shelby thrives on the challenges and opportunities it presents, bringing enthusiasm and a fresh perspective to her work at EnergyTec. Her dedication to efficiency and team success makes her a valued member of the organisation.

John Keeley

Field Services Team Leader

John Keeley has been a valued member of the EnergyTec team since February 2020, bringing over 5 years of experience in field services leadership. As the Team Leader of the Field Services Officers (FSO), John is not only an in-field expert but also a mentor and trainer to his team, helping them navigate the challenges they face on the job. With a background in operations management and team leadership, he’s adept at driving performance, fostering a positive customer experience, and improving team effectiveness.

John thrives in the dynamic and varied nature of the energy sector, especially enjoying the diversity of job sites across Perth. His focus remains on continuous improvement, not only for himself but for his team, helping everyone reach their full potential.

Louise Goodfellow

Technical Services Coordinator

With a BA (Hons) in Business Studies and a background in finance, scheduling, and coordination, Louise brings a detail-oriented and organised approach to her role as Technical Services Coordinator at EnergyTec.  An integral part of the company for 16 months, Louise ensures smooth operations and seamless coordination across projects.

Esti Labuschange

Client Sales Coordinator

With a background in the Foodservice Industry, Esti recently transitioned into the energy sector and quickly adapted to her new role. Esti’s responsibilities include managing client sales inquiries, handling quote requests, and setting up new properties.

Esti excels at building relationships, managing client expectations, and problem-solving. Her strong attention to detail in data reporting has been instrumental in providing accurate information to clients.
