FY24/25 Pricing and Tariff Updates

FY24/25 Tariff Updates

The State Government has recently released its budget which outlines expected increases to selected residential and business electricity tariffs.

The following increases have been forecasted:

  • A 2.5% increase for A1 Residential Tariff, L1 Small Business Tariff, R1 Small business Time of Use Tariff and C1 Community Service Plan Tariff.
  • An increase of 0.5% to apply to the L3 Medium Business Tariff and 2.14% to the R3 Medium Business Time of Use Tariff.

The Government Gazette, expected to be published by 1st July 2024 will formally detail the tariff changes.

Effective from 1 July 2024, Energy-Tec will align electricity supply charges in our billing system to the published gazetted tariff charges.

Gas Pricing

Energy-Tec will update gas pricing for commercial small use customers in alignment with the state government’s published regulated maximum price cap, unless advised otherwise.

Water Pricing

Energy-Tec will update water pricing in accordance with Water Corporation’s published Residential and Business water use pricing and sewer volume charges as applicable.

Where specific on-sell instructions or contract rates apply, no changes will be applied unless specified in writing.

Not sure which electricity tariffs are applicable for your asset?

In an embedded network, tariffs are dependent on tenancy lease agreement terms. Generally, lease agreements align the recovery of electricity use by tenants to the equivalent regulated electricity tariff. Energy-Tec can undertake a Tariff Review of your asset to determine if current tariffs are aligned with the annual consumption thresholds as set out in the Western Australian Government Gazette.
